Great Girl-friends

I feel so blessed to have a few really great girlfriends in my life. I have never been one to really like spending time with girls because of all the cattiness and drama that seems to come from these relationships, but I have a handful of women that I call really great girlfriends that I love to spend time with whenever possible. I was able to spend time with my best friend Randi and her husband the other night, and I swear, even if I haven't seen here in YEARS, it's just like old times. We have so many inside jokes that only she and I will ever understand. I love her and will miss her terribly as she is moving to Oregon in August so her husband can attend law school and we will be moving to Texas to begin our lives there.

Then this weekend I went and got a pedicure with one of my other best friends, Brittany and it was so great to see her. She now lives down in St. George with her husband so we rarely see each other. We lived together for 2 years and I have some amazing memories of going dancing with her and just being absolutely ridiculous. We even shared a queen size bed together, as weird as that may seem! It was great to catch up and talk about all the changes going on in our lives. It was great to see Brittany and I will miss her terribly as well when we move to Texas.

I count myself a very lucky woman to have so many amazing friends in my life. I will try to never take them for granted and cherish every time I do get to see them.

I have a reason to brag...

... because I am married to one of the SMARTEST men alive. =)

My husband had to take a nation educator test and today in the mail he received an award for being in the top 10% of the nation for his scores! He is going to be the BEST principle when the time comes. Not only cause he is so smart, but also because he cares so deeply about children's education and making a difference in this crazy messed up world!

Needless to say, I am so PROUD of my man!

P.S. We just bought a dutch oven and I need good recipes cause we are having a dutch oven night in a week with some friends!

Memorial Day fun!

We had an awesome weekend. The kind of weekend that makes going back to work/school REALLY painful.

Friday night we went camping up at Porcupine Reservoir up in Paradise, Utah with one of my best friends Jen & her husband Gene. It was absolutely gorgeous and peaceful. Just what the doctor ordered. We literally slept right next to a rushing stream. Talk about heavenly! There is something about getting dirty, and being away from the stress of the world that just soothes the soul.

Here are a few pictures :

Something personal

Okay, I know you all know Geoff and I are having troubles getting pregnant, so I am looking for any tips any of you may have with conceiving. I know this may be personal to just post on my blog so if you want to email me, that would be GREAT. Honestly, I will take any advice!

I love you all and thank you for all your support through this difficult & VERY frustrating ordeal we are going through.

Much love,
Cami

Tribute to my Mom

We all know & recognize that today is Mother's day. So today, I have been thinking about my Mom a lot. Let me tell you a little about my sweet Mother.

My Mom is the type of Mom who will never buy herself anything, still to this day even being an empty nester, because she wants to give that money to her children. Just yesterday she sent Brett, Geoff and I some money because of our good grades. How thoughtful is my Mom?

My Mom is the type of Mom that is always preaching the gospel to those around her, she has no fear in rejection when sharing because she is a woman of Faith. She taught me to never settle for anything less than a temple marriage. She taught me to always pay my tithing. She taught me how to work hard and to be responsible. Without her, I wouldn't have been successful in my job or in school.

My mother is probably the most christ-like example I have in my life. She loves unconditionally, even when her children have hurt her incredibly, she never turns her back on them. My testimony is so strong because I have a loving mother who has taught me about the Savior since I was little. For that, I will always be grateful. To sum it up, she is simply amazing. I owe her my life and will always be in debt to her. Happy Mother's day Mom. You deserve to have the best day possible.

Cute, modest swimwear

I got a really great swimsuit last summer at modebeclothing.com and I wanted one more to have two for all the time I will be spending at the pool this summer... and I found a great suit from limericki.com-- wanted to spread the word to all those who are looking for great, cute and MODEST swimwear that also supports the "ladies" if ya know what I mean. Hope this helps those of you searching for something cute to wear this summer at the beach.
