Ramblings from Mrs. Brown

Well it looks as if Obama has won. I can't say I am too happy about a socialist running our country.. .and as my older brother put it, we now should all "hide our money under our mattresses, Obama is coming!"... ha ha ha. I wasn't all super excited about McCain either, but he was the lesser of the two evils. I wish Romney would have stayed in the race. Maybe in four years, right?

Anyways, on a happy note, Geoff has almost reached his goal of 185 lbs! I am so proud of him! When we got married he was like 225 lbs, and in less than three months he has lost about 40 lbs! Amazing how it just sheds off of men. I have been doing the lifestyle "Body for life" with him, but I have only lost about 15-16 lbs.

Most don't know this, but I was pregnant about a month ago, but miscarried so my body is going through some adjusting I think. It was a rough & painful and devestating experience which I am still coming to terms with, but I know it was God's will... So we will just keep at it & when Heavenly Father wants a baby to come down to our family, we will be ready & willing!

I am so excited to get back into school next semester. I have taken a few semesters off, due to getting married and wanting to support Geoff so we wouldn't be starving and could live comfortably, but enough is enough! So next semester, Geoff and I will both be going to school full time AND working full time! We will NEVER see each other, except on the weekends. But that's pretty much how it is right now anyways. But I am SO excited to get back into the swing of things. It feels good to have an end in sight. I am going to try and graduate through all online classes, so it may take me a little longer, but it's the only way I can go to school & keep my job, which I LOVE! Plus when we move to Texas I can just finish school via the internet.Anyways, this post is really random and has no point other than to share my happiness with those I love!

Good advice from your brother, I completely agree. Scary times, definitely a sign of the sciptures I guess.

I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I understand how hard that can be (I had one last year). If you ever need someone to ramble to about it all, I'm totally here for you. You are very strong and will definitely make a great mother when the time is right! Good luck with school and work! We love ya!

Sorry about your miscarriage! I've not had one but have helped a few friends and sister-in-laws as they've grieved. Congrats on you both in losing the weight, that is incredible!

Cami, it really isn't fair how easy it is for most guys to lose weight is it? Its funny because Zak is so skinny he is always trying to gain weight--boy do I wish I had that problem! :) Anyway, I do not think that you should feel any less proud of yourself. You've done a great job and 15-16 lbs is a lot. Well done! You both look fabulous!

I'm so sorry about your miscarriage. How many weeks along were you? Like everyone else has said, you will make a great mother and Geoff will be such a good dad--you'll be the best parents! We just feel unfortunate that you will be raising your family in Texas...but Zak and I have a plan. When you guys are living in Texas, we'll just go on a yearly trip. What do ya think? :)

Oh Cami, I'm so sorry about your loss! I hope you weren't super far along? Atleast in our church we know we can raise our children we lose in the millenium-k, not sure if I spelled that right! Major congrats on losing the weight. We're stumped at how to get Scott more free time so he can work out too. It can be hard! And I have to say we like ice cream a LITTLE too much. lol. And I agree with you about Obama. I'm still confused as to how everyone decided he would be great. I mean, I agree it's pretty cool that he's the first African American pres. and that America was ready for that, and he is a family man, but did any of the thousands of "young" people who turned out for the first time think about his philosphies? Anyways, I'll stop now! Sorry I wrote so much. Hope you have a great day!

Man Cami, family is always the last to hear about stuff, and on a blog of all places. lol I am sending our love and support. I am in the same vote with you about of presidency. Oh well, whats done is done. Wonder how long it will take before the whole government falls or is taken over by angry mobs of real citizens who feel they can do a better job.
